a few questions regarding your future plans:
a) you write about provisioning and accounting, nevertheless it seems that you want to stay with stable (which doesn't provide much accounting stuff) is it planned to extend it to development, e.g. 2.6/1.9.x branch?
That's definitely the plan. The issue is mainly "too much work and not enough time" 8-/
b) 2.4.27 and vs1.29 are out ... how hard is an update? is it planned in the near future or will this take some time, maybe until 2.4.28 is out?
The update isn't hard - just create another kernel RPM, though there is no "official" plan at this point.
Moving forward I think focusing on the 2.6 stuff is the highest priority, I'd rather not get mired down in maintaining the 2.4.x/1.2x stuff - the point of the excercise was to mainly to gain the knowledge and experience in building an ISO (and I'll try to publish a howto some time in the near future), now we can concentrate on the 2.6/1.9.x stuff.
So more likely that the next ISO will be based on FC2/2.6.x/1.9.x.
