Hmmmm, might be a similar problem that I had with vserver-new... I created the /vserver/newvserverdir as a symbolic link to a fresh and empty volume, and vserver-new complained. I found that it seems to just check if the directory exists, and if it does, it will not make a new server. So I tried --destroy, and it did remove the link, and created a new directory on the root partition. OK..... Well, anyway I did a manual mv of all the files to a symlinked dir and it seems to be OK. Possibly I bug in vserver-new this.... I don't know.
