I'd suggest to do three things here:
1) provide the patch for unionfs (preferable url)
2) describe the issues you encountered with the
combination of both (I'd assume it fails to
compile :)
3) volunteer to do some testing of a combined patch
which does verify unionfs and Linux-VServer
functionality
