hopefully you get hunks with any patch ... FYI, patches consist of file sections, containing hunks, each hunk addresses one section/change in a file (in unified diffs, starting with @@) ... what you mean is called 'reject' or rejected hunk which means patch wasn't able to find the correct context for this cahnge ... > #patch -p1 < ../linux-2.4.21-ctx17-vroot-0.10.diff > > patching file Documentation/Configure.help > Hunk #1 succeeded at 529 (offset 12 lines). > patching file drivers/block/Config.in > patching file drivers/block/Makefile > patching file drivers/block/vroot.c > patching file drivers/block/vroot.h > patching file fs/Makefile > Hunk #1 FAILED at 7. > 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file fs/Makefile.rej the failed hunk is written to the reject file ^^^^^ > patching file fs/dquot.c > Hunk #1 succeeded at 52 (offset 4 lines). > Hunk #2 succeeded at 1259 with fuzz 2 (offset -117 lines). > Hunk #3 FAILED at 1335. > Hunk #4 FAILED at 1359. > 2 out of 4 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file fs/dquot.c.rej > patching file include/linux/capability.h > Hunk #1 succeeded at 279 with fuzz 2 (offset -5 lines). > patching file include/linux/major.h > > Where to get a right one ? linux-vserver.org, more specific: http://vserver.13thfloor.at/Experimental/patch-2.4.22-ctx17a-vr0.13.diff.bz2 HTH, Herbert > Greetings > > Oliver _______________________________________________ Vserver mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.solucorp.qc.ca/mailman/listinfo/vserver
