Since I've never actually (successfully) compiled ssphys myself, I'd
prefer if you or Dirk took care of that branch just to make sure nothing
ends up broken...
I'll wait for a reply from Dirk. I think the branch is not just a UTF-8
change but also includes some additional handlers for VSS operations. (I
just diff'd it against the equivalent trunk directory.)
