Thanks Toby,

Originally I had tried the conversion from a manually created copy of my DB which I then went in and changed the paths in the various VSS files. This Orphaned everything as well so I guess I have to do it from my original VSS DB?

Is there anything else I should be aware of before I start as this takes about 6 hours to run each part of the conversion.

Yes, running from the original DB (actually a local filesystem-based copy) is definitely the preferred route if possible. Six hours is a very long time; either your VSS repo is friggin' huge, or you're running over a sluggish LAN connection, in which case you definitely want to make a local copy and run from there.
