I use C with tcl/tk on NT and SGU Unix / IRIX, and find I have to use the
wsock32.lib library on the NT to get compatibility. Along with some esoteric
WINDOWS_LEAN_AND_MEAN type defines, I find it works OK with
VC++ 5.0 ...
