What version of Visual Tcl are you using ?
I have seen this problem with 1.2.1. It is linked to the "root window" placer
problem, apparently a Tk bug, where Tk returns the wrong information about
a window. Then this information is wrongly saved into the file and the next
time it is reloaded it breaks.
Try it with 1.2.2 and let me know if it still happens.
