Each checkbox next to an option indicates that
this option will be saved into the project file.
If an option is not checked, when reloading the
project later on the default value will be used
instead (eg the default background, or the
default width, etc.)
The idea beeing that some options only exist
on Windows or on Linux, so by not saving these
options you can maintain cross-platform compa-
tibility. Also, not saving the background and
foreground colors allows you to use default
values for the OS you use (Windows and Linux
use different colors).
