vTcl itself should run without problems from any location on Windows.
For Tcl and all its libraries, you could possibly take the whole
C:\Program Files\Tcl\
directory (including all it's subdirectories with libs like BLT, iTcl) and
put it on the CD-ROM.
But I haven't tried this... don't take my word for it.
Now the trick would be to install a shortcut on the desktop that launches
vtcl.tcl from the CD-ROM using the Tcl interpreter on the CD-ROM.
I haven't tried this either, but by tweaking a few paths here and there,
it should work.
Other solution, use a wrapper like freewrap. Freewrap.EXE can be
used as a standalone Tcl interpreter, provided you rename it (see
its documentation). There is even a version of Freewrap that is
bundled with BLT.
So you could rename Freewrap.exe to MyWish83.EXE
and then use a command line like
MyWish83.EXE vtcl.tcl

Hi,
Is it possible to pack VTcl and all supported (BLT,
incrTcl, et al) packages in oreder to get everything
running from the CD-ROM? How?
As many corporative companies policies do not allow
the use of non registered software (even free
software), specially the one that adopted Microsoft
solutions a CD-ROM like that could be like "a pocket
swiss knife"...
PS: a CD-ROM for Windows! Companies that adopted Linux
as standard don't put this kind of constrains.
Thanks,
MAM.
