Well, you now have much better control over what options you want to save
which results in smaller files, and images/fonts are only included in
projects
when they are needed, as are packages.

The "unused" code is used for defining aliases which was also intended
to make files smaller.

And, to make files even smaller, you can now save the project settings
separately from your app so you don't have to ship them. For this, you just
check the "Save options in project file" preference in the "Preferences"
dialog.

Me too,

I am still using 1.2. I tried 1.5 some time ago and found the
Options-mechanism very useful, but the files contain too much of unused
code
(checking for packages I never use etc.). Makes the whole thing less
readable.

I am.

I've installed/used 1.5 but went back to 1.2.2  It's smaller and _way_
faster.  It also inserts less of it's own code that has to be stripped
out for a non-gpl'd application.
