You can also open the .vtclrc file (in your ~/, or Documents and
Settings\<user name> on XP, or C:\ or D:\ on other Windows systems), and
delete the line:

set vTcl(geometry,.vTcl.toolbar) 46x667+15+116

This will reset the toolbar to its default position. (Same thing for other
windows, you can bring them back to their default position by erasing their
setting from the .vtclrc file)

I had a similiar problem on Linux with multiple destops, if you can still
see your attribute editor,
look at the "x position" and "yposition", sometimes my x position shows
up as a negative number
and I can't see the window, change the position to match your current
screen.

Don't be afraid to report them on the bug tracking database on SourceForge

I am a new programmer to Tcl. Based on what I have done, I would
suggest that you:
1. Download ActiveTcl8.3.4 This contains Tcl,Tk and several other
libraries
http://tcl.activestate.com/
2. Download vTcl
http://vtcl.sourceforge.net/
3. Get a copy of Tcl/Tk Reference Guide. You can download it for free
on the web. http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~raines/tkref.html
O'reily publishers also sells a printed version for about $10 US.
1-56592-498-3 O'Reilly & Associates 1565924983 11/98 (I think!)

For now, I have been doing all my development in vTcl. There are some
bugs and problems, but so far, I have not needed to use anything else.

For me, it has not been necessary to understand the relationship between
Tk, BLT, tix or any of the other packages. You only need to include
references the ones you need in your program.

Good Luck,

Rob Hi, I am new to this TCL I would like to know about vctl and Tk,
how are they different ?If somebody wants to develop GUI application using
Tcl which extension is preferred ? why ? On what basic? Thanks in
advanceGopal
