I just downloaded and installed vTcl on Ubuntu 8.04
a) the ./configure script died because it's a DOS file, saying:
bash: ./configure: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
Fix: run dos2unix configure
b) On running vtcl, I clicked on the New icon and gave a name to the
project. I immediately got the error message:
bad variable name "vTcl(w,opt,-anchor)": upvar won't create a scalar
variable that looks like an array element
All subsequent actions (like trying to add a widget to the main window)
cause the same error message.
Something is misconfigured somewhere, but I don't know what. Has anyone
else encountered this?
