This is definately a behavioural bug in your window manager. I'm now
using "transient" windows slaved to the main Visual Tcl window. The
behaviour thatthis produces that is nice is two-fold:
1) minimizing the application also minimizes all other toolbars and
palettes used by the application (like the widget info).
2) it allows me to create a thin toolbar on Windows 95/NT which otherwise
sets a minimum toplevel window width of something like 150 pixels.
this produces an especially ugly toolbar.
I suppose a preference for this is suitable - I will add it to the
TODO list.
You may also check to see if this behaviour can be configured in the
window manager preferences. I think I recall something like this that was
configurable in fvwm.
