I never understood exactly what vTcl's variable handling is supposed to
do,
but it doesn't seem necessary.
The soon-to-be-release version 1.10 has a preference setting to bypass
the global variable handling, which suits me fine. I don't see that the
Variable window is even needed. Just declare globals in procs as you
would do manually, and initialize any that require initialization in
main or init.
