There is no way for an application to know that a SIGKILL was sent.
Using an appropriate tcl extension, one can trap most other signals though.
Tcl has until recent years attempted to minimalize the amount of Unix
specific functions such as signals that were incorporated into the core.
Otherwise, it becomes a nightmare to port.
