I am not sure to have understood correctly your question. The only thing
I can say is : I tried to work on Vtcl with the 7.6 and 4.2 versions of
Tcl/Tk, and it did NOT work correctly. On the contrary, it works
perfectly with 8.0 version. So I would advise you to move towards this
version.
