I was doing some DUMB tcl stuff, as a person new to the language
might do (especially coming from C).  For example if {expr...}{
(no space). Things seem to be working now. In both "Tcl and the
Tk Toolkit" (Ousterhout) and "Tcl and TK" (Welch), I found no
reference to NOT doing the above....

My first TCL project is a simple program to allow me easy control
of my Linux box including:
        mount/unmount floppy, zip, cdrom
        start/stop PPP
        install and/or remove lp module and ppa (parallel zip) module
        display updated net and mount status (for floppy, zip, cdrom)
        (update display every 5 or 10 seconds).

This is mainly so my Wife and kids can use Linux for the WWW (the kids
also love some of the games like the ACM). This will reduce the
time the machine is running in insecure mode (i.e., Win95).

If there is any interest in the program, I'll post it somewhere
when I finish. Current status is pre-pre-alpha. Handles mount
and unmount. Display updates work. PPP is via a shell script
(in progress). Module management is coded but not yet tested.
