Thank you
I tried that, but afterwards realised that it had not worked for the
following reason:
When I opened vtcl, all of the toplevels were closed. The toplevel
containing the listbox is different to the one calling for the update to
the list. Because it had not yet been "shown", The vtcl gave an error
<pathname> not a command.
I then clicked show and hide on the top level for the listbox window,
retried and it worked.
