Remember that tcl makes the assumption that a number that begins with a 0
is an octal (base 8) number and thus will never have a digit greater than 7.
The best way to fix this is to make sure that before using a string as a
number (like in an expr) you strip off leading zeros - unless you intend
on the number being treated as an octal.
