Come to a study group on the latest issue of the International Socialist Review, Vietnam: The quagmire last time, on Wednesday March 30th at 7 pm in Lafayette hall room 100 on the UVM Campus. The magazine can be picked up at either Borders or Barnes and Nobles if you don't have a copy. The discussion will be centered around these articles: 1) The Bush Doctrine Since September 11th -by Lance Selfa 2) Perspectives on Rebuilding the Left -by Sharon Smith 3) The Shape of the Iraqi Resistance and Iraqis Have a Right to Resist -by Paul D'Amato 4) Vietnam: From Quagmire to Defeat -by Joe Allen This issue of the ISR raises several related questions facing the Left in the U.S.-the question of where the Bush administration is heading in its second term, both domestically and abroad, the politics of the Left and the antiwar movement in light of Bush's reelection, and the question of the Iraqi resistance. Also we can learn some lessons from the Vietnam war. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> DonorsChoose.
