Hello, VTK CVS in the FAQ means actually development version of VTK. I just changed the FAQ so it talks only about development version, whatever the current repository is. Right now, it means vtk git.
Also, I don't know what you want to use from VTKEdge. I have to move part of the FAQ from VTKEdge to VTK as the volume rendering and the LIC algorithms moved to VTK and are not longer in VTKEdge.
