Hi everyone.

I had a request for vuurmuur, i have a problem now with Hotmail,
this domain have a lot of mail exchangers servers (MX) each mx record points
to a round robin A record on their domain zone. I have pointed some of this
servers, but when I want to make a specific rule to all of this servers, is
imposible, because non exist a “GROUP OF SERVERS”, if exist this, we can
add the group Hotmail, and then create an specific rule like ACCEPT smtp
from mymx to HOTMAIL_GROUP and then Snat from mymx to HOTMAIL_GROUP
out_int=”eth4” for example, this makes specific rule to send all outgoing
smtp traffic for the interface eth4.

Tell me what do you think about this idea.

Another thing, exist any way to copy specific host record in zone menu to
then modify the ip for example and then update the new record?
Something like this.

┌─────────────────────────────
| Hosts │
│────────────────────────────-┤
│-mx1-1-hotmail 64.4.50.50 | ← copy this

To get this …
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------
│-mx1-1-hotmail 64.4.50.50 │
│-mx1-1-hotmail-copy 64.4.50.50 │ ← then update the info to this

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------
│-mx1-1-hotmail 64.4.50.50 │
│-mx1-2-hotmail 65.54.244.136 │

And then continue the copy.

And the last Requests

Exist any way to create the hosts in zone menu with “DOTS”, I know that
not creates dns resolv, but it’s more sense to name a host like
mx.domain.gltd than mx-domain-gtld.

I hope some body of your’s could read my requests.

Thanks to all

Edgar Díaz Orellana.
