Opps, I meant you won't be able to login as vyatta if router manager
doesn't start. You can also check for the router manager with:

vDUT-stig-2:/# ps aux | grep rtrmgr

root 4549 0.3 5.5 28468 14244 ? Ss Nov05 30:08
/opt/vyatta/sbin/xorp_rtrmgr -b /media/floppy/config/config.boot

root 9658 0.0 0.2 2856 700 pts/0 R+ 20:56 0:00 grep
rtrmgr

If the router manager wasn't able to start or if it crashed, then you
won't be able to log in as root. Login as root and look for errors in
/var/log/messages that might give a clue to the problem.

Subject: [Vyatta-users] Login

Hi,

I've just burned vyatta image into a cd in order to run vyatta live cd in
my laptop, an HP pavilion dv2410 running Windows Vista, but I could not
log in, because the username "vyatta" and the password "vyatta", was
wrong, although I could log into linux promt with username "root" and
"vyatta" as the password.

I tried to run the vyatta live cd in another laptop, a COMPAQ, running
Windows XP, and in another desktop, running both Windows XP and Ubuntu, I
had the same problem in the laptop BUT NOT in the desktop, I could log in
into vyatta and work properly in it.

How come ?

Could somebody help me ? I really need to run vyatta in my laptop.

Thanks.
