Hi Hussein
I read your tweet about your new product and gave it a try. Very impressive
results!
I will use w2x to generate nice html code for wordpress.
One related question: Do you know of any way to transform tabular data that has
been formated with tabs instead of using web save tables?
We have a corpus of DOCX files coming from different origins and we have
rarely seen tabular data that has been formatted with tabs. I mean tabs
are indeed very, very often used to format contents, but rarely as a
replacement for actual tables.
Sending us privately (mailto:[email protected]) one or more DOCX files
containing tabular data formatted with tabs would be appreciated.
I now use "convert text to table" on manually selected sections containing tabs.
I guess we'll have to use this feature to understand how it works and
try to emulate it using a XED script ("Going further with w2x" --
http://www.xmlmind.com/w2x/_distrib/doc/manual/index.html#going_further).
But you might know some way to automate this time consuming procedure?
Not yet. For now, a tab is just converted to (rather useless):
<span class="role-tab"> </span> (one space character inside the span).
By the way, your email has reminded us that we forgot to mention this as
a limitation in:
http://www.xmlmind.com/w2x/_distrib/doc/manual/manual.html#limitations
Kind regards from Zürich
Thomas
