Dear sir, madam,

I would like to create an index with an indexterm referring to a range of pages
(a range of content).
In Word I can do that by adding a bookmark to a range and linking the indexterm
to that bookmark.

w2x converts the bookmarks to id's.
But the indexterm isn't linked to the id, in the exported DocBook xml. Is this
functionality not (yet) included in w2x?

I see that DocBook does offer the possibility of 'ranges' for indexterms:
https://tdg.docbook.org/tdg/4.5/indexterm.html

Example:
<indexterm id="idxexchap" class="startofrange">
  <primary>Example Chapter</primary>
</indexterm>
<!-- other content -->
<indexterm startref="idxexchap" class="endofrange"/>

For the conversion of an indexterm linked to a range from Word to DocBook: is
this something we can expect w2x to develop in the near future; is this already
a work in progress maybe? That would be helpful to know. Also if this is
functionality that will not become available in the (near) future. Then we can
think of different solutions.

Kind regards,
Louise Prompers
