List,
After several months without releasing new builds for windows we are
happy to announce that our last release is now available from
sourceforge [1]. Windows users will now be able to take advantage of
our last enhancements in the framework and they won't have to tweak
the previous installation in order to make w3af work with the recent
changes.
>From now on, everytime we release new versions we'll take care of also
including the windows installer. This will certainly will help grow
our community taking into account that about 65% of the w3af downloads
are from windows users.
Highlights:
* Installer built with python 2.6. This is actually new only for
windows as w3af has already proved being stable on py26 on linux.
* We tested it on WinXP, Vista and Seven (Thanks Simonas Kubilius
a.k.a. ST__)
* Includes all the benefits added in rc5, and some more :-)
We'd actually appreciate that you test the installer on the mentioned
platforms and give us feedback on the issues that may arise.
