we like w3af very much. Among other aspects, the ability
to run without any GUI is a reason to choose w3af.
We integrated w3af in a simple way into the OpenVAS
framework where is already a GUI to manage scans
with annotations, alerts, reporting, filtering,
scheduling etc.
Once we find the time to deepen the integration,
all these features could be better used for w3af as well.
However, it is surely a good idea to build a special GUI for w3af.
All I want say is:
If you do so, please don't neglect the headless operation
mode. Don't make the same mistake as other web application
scanners of OWASP did already.
