I'm using the latest version 1.0 on Gentoo:
eix -I w3af
[I] net-analyzer/w3af
Available versions: (~)1.0_rc5-r1 (~)1.0 {doc gtk}
Installed versions: 1.0(10:42:22 AM 06/17/2011)(gtk -doc)

Description: Web Application Attack and Audit Framework
I configured w3af with below settings:
- audit all,
- discevery webSpider
- output console, htmlFile
but I got the following error when starting:
w3af>>> start
There was an error while requesting "http://mp3.thuquanc1.com/";. Reason:
Name or service not known
There was an error while requesting
"http://mx-lookup.com/mailserver/dkcphmx04.softcom.dk";. Reason: timeout
**IMPORTANT** The following error was detected by w3af and couldn't be
resolved:
Name or service not known
Scan finished in 1 minute 51 seconds.
That seems to be the 'dead' hosts. How can I solve this issue?
