The most fun I've had in recent years was a big brown that actually
jumped at Pass Lake. It was March and I was trolling in my u-boat
with a #8 brown wooley bugger on a full sink line. I wasn't expecting
a fish over 20 inches so was using a 4wt. Now that's fun with a big
leaping fish - it took ages to land and he was still full of kick at
the end.

I plan on trying out Pass Lake on Mar. 25.

I hear that BH Chironomids are the hot ticket at Pass Lake. What if the
fish aren't taking chironomids or if I get bored sitting still and I want to
strip something in...

Are there any other wet/streamer patterns that perform at Pass Lake?

 - Wooley-Buggers (what color/size?)
 - Nymphs

Any info would be great for this Pass Lake virgin.
