Oh my GAWD, don't even think about it!! This is a complete ZOOOOO. There
is about 1 mile of fishable water on the lower run to where it meets the
Wenatchee and there are about 3 decent holes.. Max. There are l00's of
anglers and some put in at midnite and anchor in the holes and sleep in the
driftboat!! There have been property owner hazzles because the property
owners, on the Icicle, own to the center of the river, or at least some of
them do. The guys get roudy at nite anchored up in their boats and the
property owners have demanded they pull anchor because they are on their
property! This is combat fishing at its best. I took my neighbor over
there on opening day a number of years ago and he refused to get in the
boat. I was willing since I had driven all that way, but he refused and we
turned around and went home. One year I took my parents, because they were
living in Wenatchee, and we never did get to fish the Icicle because of all
the anglers. The first spot we had to wet a line was in the Wenatchee
itself. You've got about a quarter mile section to a boat ramp above the
Hwy 2 bridge that you can fish. Fish on!! We got about a 25 lber and we
were out a there......never to return! Jere
