I had several trips over the weekend. Was hopin I could get people out and
maybe hook and early steelhead, but the water wouldn't cooperate. We fished
Rattlesnake Lake on Sat. and then Lake Alice on Sunday. High sun and slow
fishing on Rattlesnake, but the bait fishermen were doing well off the
rocks. One guy said that the Game Wardens were there all week because of
all the bait fisherman. One guy at the ramp, tried to make the argument
that it was stupid not to allow bait since they are planters anyway. Lake
Alice was very good fishing on Sunday. The drizzle did it. The lake was
flat calm and fish were up top. We were the only ones on the lake! Two
psychiatrists from Atlanta had a ball. A lot nicer people than the
snaggers, who have been clubbing rainbows on the Yakima, because of the
salmon fishery. Jere
