Fished the Deschutes this weekend a few miles above Sunriver. I was limited to bank fishing and didn't hook into a fish. Most fisherman I talked to (that were boating up and down the river) were having fairly good success with worms. I actually don't recall seeing another fly fisherman all weekend on that stretch of River. I also had the opportunity to fish the Fall River. I fished a couple hundred yards above the hatchery with little success. The river was stacked with fish but they weren't very willing to take anything I presented to them. I tried an arsenal of nymphs as well as several different dries. I finally managed to hook one on a caddis. It seems like that river would be very productive under the right conditions or if you know what you are doing. Take care. Nello
