Guided several guys on the Yakima yesterday. The one fellow just took the
position as head of Boys @ Girls Clubs of Seattle @ King Co. Made for good
conversation having started the club on Mercer Island when I came out here
in the early '70's. They had never fly fished before. The one fellow bought
a book the day before to know what the equipment looked like! A quick
lesson on the bank and off we went for a day of tangles! The wind blew hard
all day and few bugs around, but one guy caught 5 and the other 1 and the
one was a good sized one. With me yelling to set the hook and how to play
it, kinda surprising he landed it. We also anchored up off a large rock and
had one of the largest 'bows do a perfect 10 pt. head and tail dive right
out in front of us I've seen in awhile...followed by lots of thrashing of
casts after that! We fished large stimulators most of the day Jere
