I've done that mouth of the Stehekin fishery.  Good timing is at runnoff.
Lots of organisms are washed into the lake and fish will congregate well
near to, or in the cloudy runoff.  Tough run back down lake if you have a
small boat and the wind kicks up, like it usually does.  There is a guy up
there, that ran an excursion bus and whatever else I'm not sure, that at one
time was Mr. Yakima, Tim Irish.  He had a flyshop in Renton, made a fine
video of the Yakima with Jim & Kelly Watts (the flyshop was the Royal
Coachman).  Tim was one of those individuals that enjoyed peace and solitude
with his fly fishing and became very upset at what he thought were crowds
that moved onto the Yakima and gave up a very successful guide service.  I
was waded out at "Reds" one evening when Tim floated by with several clients
and one of his clients hooked a brute just above me.  I got rather
vociferous and soon found out that Tim didn't enjoy my "blow by blow"
