My company conducted 8 flyfishing schools this year and many, many schools over the years. It is very difficult working with youngsters this young. We have included them at the insistance of an adult, but very few have the patience and attention span to get anything good out of it. It would take a special youngster and the problem is; every dad thinks their youngsters is special! My recommendation would be to let them flail away for a year or two, make some suggestions whether they would like to make this exercise acedemic to improve their skills and evaluate their response.
