I just cut out strips and nail them to a board. the strips 
are like 5" by 5 " or so.  Hey If you have extra hide I'll  
take some off you, especially the upper top part of the 
back portion of the deer. No need to really cure that 
little of an amount unless you want to keep the whole 
hide.  If this is the case I'd just go to a tannery and 
have them do it rather than go through all the trouble of 
doing it youreself.
