Thanks for the tip Jeff. I played hookey yesterday afternoon and your 
report on Beaver Lake proved to be the ideal destination.

I put in at the landing on the southeast corner and fished the rises 
in the south end of the lake. I tried a variety of different patterns 
fished from a floating line before a green mohair beadhead leech and 
a fast retrieve proved to be the combination of the day. I hooked 
four and landed two fat rainbows of 12 and 14 inches, nice bright 
fish with brilliant magenta sides.

A guy in an aluminum boat was trolling what looked like 2 or 3 pounds 
of pop gear and getting constantly hung up on the bottom. He said the 
fishing was slow but he'd taken a 20 inch fish out the day before. 
I'm sure he meant he'd literally taken it out.
