Hey Gang,

Left work a little earlier than normal today to fish....

Drove down to Doc's and didn't see anything happening AT ALL.  Decided to
drive around to Fosdick and at least get the line wet.  Started out throwing
a small size 10 Angel Hair Clouser and hit 2 fish within 30 minutes.  Changed
over to the Invis-i-sid and brought 3 more to the beach.   5 fish total for
an hours works against the wind.
Fish were cruising almost against the bank (within 20 feet).  Didn't hit one
fish until I was through 3/4  of the swing.  Makes me wonder just how much
the fishing pressure effects us at Doc's (?)  Seems the more folks at Doc's,
the further the fish are out in the seam..hmmm.  Anyways, some Euphausids in
the "magic inch," at least more than noted as of late.  Will give it another
go tomorrow with the first stop at Doc's.

A few a theories/observations:  (1)  We are still seeing some bright days on
the water.  Believe the fish are feeding deeper until the shadow hits the
hill or, (2) the bait isn't thick enough for the fish to get selective yet.
My journal indicates a greater selectiveness at the end of Feb through Mar.
(3)  Fishing pressure at Doc's is definitely pushing the fish further out in
to the main current.

All in all, not a bad day for an hour's woth of work.

John
