> This weekend (March16-18) the Puget Sound Fly Fishers had a great outing
> to the Lenice-Nunnally chain of lakes . The weather on Saturday was sun
> , no wind , and trout eager to the fly . Chironomids of several colors
> and designs were very successful . However , what happened in the
> parking lot later that day was of particular interest to fly fishers .
> Two WDFG enforcement officers showed up and all eyes were on them . I
> had heard the Dept. was making it's presents known there , and this was
> further proof . I was able to talk to the officers for a while , and
> they told me that they were indeed frequenting the area . Recently they
> had been ''writing a lot of paper'' for over limits , using bait , and
> several other violations of the fishing regulations . The officers asked
> me to tell everyone to have their cell phones with them while fishing and
> to call the Highway Patrol when we observed violations . The WHP will
> contact the Enforcement Officers and they WILL respond . Now we can quit
> complaining about things and do something about them .
> I would like to complain about the loud music later that night coming
> from one particular group of people camped just to the west of the Lenice
> parking lot . Courtesy and thoughtfulness should be practiced everywhere
> fly fishers meet .
