Yakima

I have been doing alot more reading lately than fishing.  Tomorrow, I intend 
to take a trip to the Yakima.  I usually fish a section near the boat launch 
just east of Cle Elum.  Has anyone been there lately?  Is it wadeable?  
Should I travel further towards the canyon?  

I have enjoyed reading...this is my first message to you all.
