| Best, and cheapest place to buy a utility trailer is at Costco during the spring. They have a nice 8' trailer with big wheels usually in the low $400 range. The fellow who built my pram says this is one of the best around. They only get a few of them at each store however, so just buy them when you see them, as they go fast.
Regarding fishing vehicles, each of us should have a good SUV, a pickup truck, and a really snazzy sports car for when we want to show off. Realizing of course that all of us have unlimited parking space and income to support these fishing cars. Seriously, I have been debating myself about my next purchase and have come down to two choices. Either I will buy a supercab F-150 with 4 WD and put a canopy on it, or just keep my old truck and buy a good SUV and tow one of the Costco trailers. Only problem with the trailers is if you are going somewhere need to travel by ferry. That's when I would take the old pickup to avoid the overlength charges. I don't really trust my old pickup to make the long haul over the mountains, but like the battery bunny, it just keeps going and going. Roger |
