Several years ago I made some of these "bobbles".
I simply suspended a fly, using 7x, from the metal cap/loop of a clear bobble.
Large bright steelhead flies like a "Winter's Hope" work well (as opposed to dark purple flies that fish eat).  Bigger flies give that "ship in a bottle effect.
A nice added touch is to put a bit of clean sand or gravel in the bottom of the bobble.
