I tried it once last year, camped in the trees next to the water just off
the road that leads to Steamboat Rock State Park.

Caught quite a few smallmouth bass (nothing over 11"), but could not get
the carp to hit a fly.  It was interesting to see them schooled up in the
reeds, sucking cottonwood fluff off the surface.  

An old submerged road provides the "flat" fishing.  Saw lots of carp, they
were very easily spooked!
