Have any of you that owned the 8' or 10' Hopper or HopperII ever used them
in a river, specifically the Yak? Jim has told me in the past that they can
be used for the Yak, but I've never actually heard from somebody who has
done it.

Thanks!
John

Kent,

I had an 8 foot Hopper that I bought from Jim. Nice guy and a great lake
flyfishing pram. I did not make one of our annual BC sedge hatch trips so I
let a friend borrow the boat. He liked it so much he bought it from me and I
decided to upgrade to a 10 foot boat due to my expanding belly. The Hopper
was an extremely comfortable, stable, quiet, lightweight fishing machine.
Jim can add all kinds of accessories to match your style and the boat was
very durable. Fits in the back of the pickup just great. The only problem,
at least on the eastside, it getting them to the water. So many of the
selective gear and fly only lakes are difficult to access with a pram. BC is
one exception. Feel free to email me if you'd like more info.
