I was sitting around the other day, thinking about the years fishing. I am
definately slowing down. I feel like I have barely wet a line this year
compared to previous years. In past years I have spent an average of 20 days
fishing the lower Skykomish in March and April. Last year (2001) I spent 12
days at Sekiu in September. I only spent 4 or 5 days fishing alone this
year, reversing a pattern of past seasons when the majority of trips were
solo.

Here is the tally for 2002. 3days on the Lower Skykomish in February, 6 days
on the Skagit/Sauk in March/April, 4 days on the upper Skykomish in
June/July, 8 days on the Dean last week of August, 3 days at Sekiu in
September, and a couple of days on the Snohomish in October. Total 26 days,
probably get in 1 or 2 more day trips by the end of the year, if steelhead
start to show up soon.
