Very nice, well done web page Tim. Sounds like you had a great trip. Now if I can just get my wife to read your web page....

My wife and I got back yesterday from Playa Blanca Adventure Resort in the
Yucatan. We were there a full week and had a great time. For the long

For the short story - I fished solo half days through the trip and did
great, using the other time with my wife to snorkel, kayak, explore ruins,
swim. I got lots of bonefish when I opted to fish for them, including one
that went 4.5 lbs and a few 3 lbs. fish. Boated 3/5 permit one day (!), and
that was the first day I'd even even made a cast to a permit. Boated 1/8
tarpon I had take, jumped a few that got away and broke one off being
overzealous on the hook setting. This was also my first tarpon. I slammed
in two half-days but that doesn't quite count. We had one guy in the group
hook the slam one day but he lost the tarpon 15' from the boat when the line
tangled on the rope tie-off at the bow. Total for the group we landed 4
permit in the week, 3 tarpon, many tarpon jumped, one snook, quite a few
bones, and some nice cuda. I'm already planning the next trip there.
