I completely agree with the boot sizing!  It took me a little while to
figure that out.  Circulation is the key to warm feet.

Now I wear size 10 boots (my foot is 8 1/2).  I wear fleece socks on the
inside and put a wool sock over the outside to prevent my boots from chafing
the neoprene.

For me, it's keeping my head, hands and feet warm... If I can manage that,
the rest of my body will be warm. Fleece is huge and I really like the wind
shear products on the market. Keeping the wind out will help drastically. I
wear a fleece hat, wind shear fleece gloves, poly under fleece on the upper
and lower half. I wear a good pair of wool socks and make sure your boots
are not too tight. One of the biggest problems I see for people winter
fishing, is they use their summer boots, double up on socks and have trouble
with circulation which results in cold feet.
