I was going to go fishing yesterday but was busy getting ready to take off
for Baja. I decided to go for it today hoping for a repeat of Leland's
success. I fished two hours until my hands went numb. OK they went numb in
an hour and I fished another with dead hands. There were fish about with an
uncanny knack for staying 10' beyond my casting range, how do they do this?
That said, I managed four strikes and either missed or LDR'ed all of them.

Subject: Narrows Report

Fished the Narrows this morning from 10am to 1pm. The tide was ebbing
from 13.2' at 8:16am to 7.6' at 1:40pm. There were two other flyguys
and a couple boats with flytossers.

I fished a pink popper on a dead slow swing south of Doc's and turned
seven fish. I landed two resident silvers of 13-14". They were very
plump and in beautiful shape.

There are small "bratpacks" of silvers cruising the waters feeding on
small herring out at the edge of the currents. I fished the areas
where the current runs at the shore to give myself a shot.

Leland.
