If you mount the silicone tubing on the back of the metal tube
before mounting it the compression of the tubing against the back of the HMH
tube fly attachment will hold it still.

Subject: Re: How can I stop the tube from rotating when tying tube flies?

I bought the HMH starter kit from puget sound fly co...

http://www.flyfishusa.com/fly-tying/tube-fly-tools.htm

I just make sure and push on the bend of the metal rod while screwing it
down tight, either that or I can grab the ass-end of the rod with plyers
and pull it while I tighten it in, that puts preasure on the front of the
tube via the bend in the rod. That has worked fine for me so far.

What kind of vice or adapter are you using?
